- Minimize Credit Inquires. It’s important to know your credit score, but too many inquires may reduce your credit score.
- Don’t establish new credit. New credits can lower your credit score. Applying for a ne credit 2-3 months before applying of a mortgage may lower your credit score and impact the rate.
- Leave unused credit alone. Keep your old accounts open, even if you are not using them.
- Seek advice before paying off past due balances.

- Credit Score. Ask your loan officer for a breakdown of your tri-mergers credit score and what it means.
